Mastermind, Mold and Make: Creativity Jam
May 24 – September 7, 2014
Designed to spark creativity and imagination, Creativity Jam immerses visitors in a multi-sensory landscape of sounds, materials and media. Children and adults are invited to participate in exciting and unique experiences that exercise and build creative thinking and collaboration.
Design, tinker, hack, and invent in this limited-time and ever-changing exhibit.
Creativity Jam engages visitors of all ages in four continuously-evolving, hands-on areas:
- Change: Explore, manipulate and reimagine everyday objects in new and exciting ways. Sort through small cabinets and drawer’s to find interesting and beautiful items such as shells, glass pebbles, wood beads and corks, and explore them on kaleidoscopes, mirrors and light projectors.
- Make: Design, engineer and build projects using real tools and materials.
- Create: Build interlocking block structures, alone or with others.
- Collaborate: Work together to design and build large scale projects and explore materials that can be taken apart and put back together in multiple ways.
Creativity Jam is funded with money from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund that was created with the vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008. Participation in the Creativity Jam gallery is free with Museum admission.
