Mini Birthday Party Frequently Asked Questions

How does a Mini Party differ from a Celebration or Super Celebration party?

Designed for smaller birthday groups (10-18 people), a Mini Party includes Museum admission for you and your guests and a special sticker for the birthday child. The Museum’s Celebration and Super Celebration parties include Museum admission for you and your guests, a reserved party space, cake, ice cream and juice. Super Celebration parties also include themed birthday activities and a birthday host to facilitate your party.

How many guests can we invite?

The ideal size for a Mini Party is 10-18 guests, with a 10 person minimum. Groups over 18 people can be accommodated upon request.

Do I have to pay for guests who don’t show up?

You pay for the number of guests you reserve for prior to arrival. Extra guests can be paid for upon arrival. The party family will receive admission vouchers for up to five paid guests who don’t attend the party. I’m a Museum member.

Can I use our family membership to get into the Museum?

You can use your Museum membership to admit your immediate family, but at least 10 guests must accompany your family to receive the discount ($62.50 min. price).

How do I schedule a Mini Party?

You can click below to request a date for your Mini party or call the Museum at 651-225-6000.

After you secure your Mini Party with a minimum non-refundable deposit of $62.50 you will receive a follow-up email with your party details.

How do we check-in on the day of the party?

You can check-in at the Museum Box Office once your entire party has arrived. This staff person will provide you with Museum stickers and discounted parking to the World Trade Center paking ramp.

Can we bring our own food or cake?

You can bring outside food to enjoy in the vending area, but no storage space or refrigerators will be provided for personal items. Lockers are also available for rental.
