Ball-a-Rama

September 26, 2015 – January 31, 2017  Go the Distance and have a ball! In Ball-o-rama, children will learn early physics concepts using interactive, hands-on experimentation. Uncover the mystery behind rollercoasters using balls, energy and momentum; design ramps and bumpers to set up a hole-in-one during a round of mini-golf; and understand how declines and inclines impact speed, momentum and gravity at the Ski Jump. Energize Young Minds in a rolling adventure

  • Explore acceleration and gravity through loops and twirls at The Spiral
  • Create cool spirals that demonstrate momentum, friction and gravity by sending balls down a funnel
  • Race to the finish and view energy in motion at the Loop-the-Loop
  • Uncover the mystery behind rollercoasters using balls, energy and momentum

Ball-o-rama is produced by Minnesota Children’s Museum, adapted from designs created by Boston Children’s Museum, with support from the National Science Foundation.

Named one of 10 BEST Children’s Museums by Grandparents.com
