Curious George™: Let’s Get Curious! Days at Minnesota Children’s MuseumBring your camera to get a photo with the irresistible George at 11 a.m., 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. Use the left side of your brain in math- and science-themed activities and games throughout the day and collect Curious George bookmarks, postcards, stickers and fruit snacks.
Special Activities October 19-21:
10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
· Story Time: Share in the adventures of Houghton Mifflin's original Curious George books.
11 a.m., 12 and 1 p.m.
· Meet Curious George: Remember to bring your camera!
11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.
· Big Fun! Hard hats not required in Big Fun! block building activity complete with construction vehicles and dump trucks, inspired by the television episode, Curious George the Architect.
10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
· Seek and Find: Collect Curious George stickers, bookmarks and postcards.
· Exploration Station: Take paper circles, squares, triangles and other shapes and make a shape animal.
· Inventors Workshop: We have the materials; what will you invent?
· Spark Cart: Paint your face like Curious George or one of his friends.
· Fan Fun: Predict what will fall and what will float like Curious George and his balloons as you drop objects over a fan.
· Air Power: Use your own wind power and blow through a straw to race objects across the table.
Exhibit Coming May 2007:
The Museum is partnering with Universal Studios Consumer Products Group to prepare the exciting new exhibit Curious George: Let's Get Curious! to premiere May 12, 2007 and is sponsored by 3M. The exhibit will feature math, science and engineering themes in line with the new Curious George television series from Imagine Entertainment, WGBH Boston and Universal Studios Family Productions that launched Sept. 4, 2006 on PBS KIDS. It is seen locally Monday through Friday at 7:30 a.m. and noon on TPT Channel 2.
