ST. PAUL, Minn.-- Governor Pawlenty has declared September to be College Savings Month in Minnesota. To showcase some of the vibrant educational resources and explain the positive legislation that was recently passed that provides a great tax advantage to the state's 529 Plan, Minnesota Children's Museum has partnered with the Minnesota College Saving Plan to offer a day of education for parents and hands-on activities for kids.

What: Minnesota College Savings Plan Day

When: Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: Minnesota Children's Museum, Seventh and Wabasha streets in downtown St. Paul
