ST. PAUL, MN—“Kid Spark,” a new store at Minnesota Children’s Museum, opens Friday, May 26, with a wide selection of gifts, educational toys, games, puzzles, apparel, Museum merchandise, books and music for children.

The store’s fun product themes, based on props and games used in the Museum galleries and programs, include pretend, music, water play, art, cooking, transportation, gardening, farming and dinosaurs.

Kid Spark also has healthy food and beverage options available including fresh salads, pasta, sandwiches, fruits and vegetables, juice, gourmet coffee and milk.

Minnesota Children’s Museum has partnered with St. Croix Retail, a local company that sells branded retail gift and apparel merchandise at locations in Mall of America and Minneapolis/Saint Paul International Airport.

Plans for the new Minnesota Children’s Museum store began when Creative Kidstuff store closed in January 2006 after a 10–year partnership. The space was reconfigured for retail merchandise and to provide additional food options based on visitor requests.

Kid Spark, Minnesota Children’s Museum Store, is located at 10 West Seventh Street, downtown Saint Paul. The store is open to Museum visitors and the public during regular Museum hours: Monday (Memorial Day – Labor Day), Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.; and Friday, 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. For information, call 651–225–6000 or visit www.MCM.org.
