Partner with us to create the ideal complement to your lesson plans by selecting exhibits that will support your curriculum. Plus, you can opt to bring educational resources into your classroom, build school community with special family nights and explore learning opportunities for your own professional development.

At-the-Museum Options

Self-Guided Visits
Reserve a two-hour visit that allows your group to explore the Museum at its own pace. Your students will learn and discover as they interact with curriculum-supporting, hands-on exhibits.

Museum Classes
Your students will experience a content-rich, hands-on, 45-minute Museum class led by a Museum educator, followed by a one-hour, 15-minute self-guided Museum exploration. Museum classes are aligned with state standards. Call 651-225-6021 to schedule

Family Nights
Build school community and involve your students' families in their education with a Family Night at Minnesota Children's Museum.

Parent and Group Education
We offer classes for adolescent parents, as well as high school child developement classes.

Museum-to-Go Classes
Bring the Museum experience right to your school. A Museum educator will visit your classroom and facilitate a 50-minute hands-on class at your site. Museum-to-Go classes support state standards. Plan to schedule three sessions of the same class on the same day at one site.

Discovery Trunks
Create a Minnesota Children's Museum experience in your own classroom with our Discovery Trunks. Self-contained units, Dsicovery trunks include authentic objects, books, music, costumes, games, educational materals and two-weeks of interdisciplinary lesson plans. The plans provide a framework to meet standards for your classroom.

Educator Workshops at the Museum
Discover new ideas! Find inspiration and develop practical skills to apply in your classroom. You'll also earn CEU credits.

Educator Workshops at Your School
NEW OPTION! Convenient, two-hour educator workshops can also be scheduled at your school.


Group Access Program
The Group Access Program provides reduced admission to those who qualify, and is designed to reach groups and organizations that serve economically disadvantaged children and families. In order to qualify, 75 percent or more of the students must be recipients of the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Program. A limited number of bus scholarships are available for Group Access schools. For information or to request an application, call 651–225–6002.
