FAQ

How do I sign up for a Family Night?

Call 651-225-6002 to register. Plan to schedule at least 30 days in advance to ensure your requested dates are available.

What is your payment policy?

You will receive an invoice with your due date via email. Please call 651-225-6002 with a credit card or send a copy of your invoice and a business check prior to your due date.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel?

Please call 651-225-6002 as soon as possible to reschedule or cancel. Refunds are given to groups that cancel 14 days prior to the event.

What about buses and parking?

If you plan to arrive in a bus, please let us know. Buses can drop off families in front of the Museum on 7th street. Parking for buses is available across the Mississippi River via the Robert Street bridge on/and around Fillmore Street. Buses must park here, where there are bus-parking signs. Additional transportation from the bus parking location to Minnesota Children's Museum is not provided.

If your families will be arriving individually in cars, parking is available in the World Trade Center parking ramp located on the northeast corner of 7th and Wabasha streets, kitty corner to the Museum, and connected to the Museum by the skyway. Enter the left lane of the ramp from Wabasha Street and park for only $4 for your first 3 hours! The World Trade Center parking ramp is now an automated facility. You will need to bring your parking ticket into the Museum to receive the Museum's parking discount.

The World Trade Center parking ramp accepts cash and credit cards as acceptable forms of payment; checks are no longer allowed.

What about dinner?

Space is available, by reservation only, in our Great Big Room or Creativity Center, depending on the group size. You can plan to have dinner delivered, or bring dinner and we'll store it for you until it is time to eat. Please notify us if space is needed upon reserving your Family Night.

Where do our families check in?

Families will check in at the Box Office. A representative from our Education Department will greet your families and introduce them to the Museum. Visitors will receive admission stickers and validate parking (as needed).

If you have registration needs as well, please let us know and we will provide a table for you to use for your check-in purposes. This table will need to be staffed by someone from your organization.

All guests are checked in and have placed their admission stickers on, they are free to have fun exploring and learning in the galleries located on the 2nd and 4th floors. We will inform guests of when and where dinner/snack is taking place (if applicable).
