Museum-to-Go Classes

Take advantage of our convenient and portable curriculum.

Looking for additional fun to add to your curriculum? Our Museum educators are experts at making learning fun.

When a Museum educator comes to your school, your students will experience a hands-on 50-minute, brain-boosting class in a core curriculum area such as science, language arts, social studies and health and fitness. All Museum-to-Go classes support state standards and, as an added bonus, spark curiosity and plenty of big grins.

About Museum-to-Go Classes:

Reach more students and make the most of learning by scheduling three sessions of the same class on the same day at one site.

Class size: Maximum 28 students per session, Ratio 1 adult per 7 students

Cost: $150 for one session, $240 for two sessions, $330 for three sessions; plus round-trip mileage. Please contact Group Reservations to book your session.

Available: Monday - Friday; call 651-225-6002 for availability. Available within a 50-mile radius of Minnesota Children's Museum.

Museum-to-Go Class Topics

Health

Hands-On-Health: PreK – 4: Updated in 2010-2011 school year Students will discover the amazing ways in which the human body works and practice the daily habits necessary for a long and healthy life.
* This class is offered at two different levels: PreK-1 and 2-4.

Science

Dino Dig: PreK – 4: Updated in 2010-2011 school year Students will become aspiring paleontologists as they uncover clues from the past and learn all about the ancient creatures we all love.
* This class is offered at two different levels: PreK-1 and 2-4.

Amazing Antics: PreK - 2: Students learn about the amazing life of an ant through hands-on exploration and discovery.

Rock On!: 1 - 3: Newly Updated! (Formally Get the Dirt)The world of rocks comes alive as students discover how rocks are formed and ways they can be identified.

Social Studies

Community Faces and Places: K – 4: Students create their own community while learning about collaboration.
* This class requires table/desk space that is 6'x12'.

Growing Up Global: PreK - 2: New for 2011-2012 Take an immersive look into cultures from around the world and celebrate what makes us all unique.

FAQ

Are additional adults needed for the Museum-to-Go Classes?
We require at least two school staff and/or parent volunteers besides the teacher to aide in the implementation process.

How far in advance to a schedule my group?
You must schedule at least 30 days in advance to ensure your requested dates are available.

How do I schedule a Museum-to-Go Class?
Schedule by calling 651-225-6021 or by calling 651-225-6002 or email a preferred visit date and a second choice to Group Reservations. Our Education Services scheduler will contact you to confirm availability.

What is your payment policy?
You will receive an invoice in the mail with your due date. Send a copy of your invoice with a check prior to the class.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel?
Please call 651-225-6021 as soon as possible to reschedule or cancel. Refunds are given to groups that cancel 14 days prior to the site visit.
